We offer business training and business management workshops tailored to the Health Sector. Our focus has been with health sector managers and teams to help them meet the specific challenges of modern healthcare management. Our facilitators have worked with general and specialist practices, secondary providers, dental practices, DHB's, PHU's and PHO's.
Transitions to Leadership and Management - full day
Auckland and Christchurch
Moving into Management for the first time can be daunting. This practical workshop will give new Managers the skills they need to 'step up' to being highly effective in their new role. It will cover the core management skills needed to become a successful Manager and Leader. This workshop is part of our Leadership and development programme which has a health sector focus recognising the unique environment leaders in this field must manage. It includes pre workshop preparation, a full day workshop plus follow up coaching by internet, phone or email to support implementation of action plans completed during the workshop.

How to Deal with Difficult People - half day
This workshop will help you deal with difficult, demanding and 'hard to please' personalities. Whether staff, customers, colleagues or suppliers, learn how to get positive outcomes that work for you. Be assertive and increase your confidence when dealing with these people, understand different working styles and behaviours and how to diffuse conflict while remaining professional under pressure.
How to manage stress successfully - half day
Stress is a part of everyday life but how we manage our own stress is the key to successfully living with stress. The word “stress” is often viewed negatively. This workshop will help you put a positive management spin on stress. It will help you identify the stressors, develop an awareness of the danger signs, help you manage it and make it work for you.
Effective Leadership -full day
This programme is for more experienced managers, supervisors and team leaders who want to further develop their management skills and reinforce their practical knowledge with proven key management concepts and ideas. It will give participants the tools to help bring out the best in themselves and their team. This programme has a health sector focus recognising the unique environment leaders in this field must manage. It includes pre workshop preparation, individual profiling, a full day workshop plus follow up coaching by internet, phone or email to support implementation of action plans completed during the workshop.
